A computer-controlled software system for tracking entering/exiting vehicles and for pre-accounting in paid car parks.
There are different methods of collecting the parking fee; upfront payment on entry to the car park, or the payment of the fee upon exit according to how much time the car has remained parked. The system allows for adjustments to the operation mode of the car park.
The license plate of the vehicle entering the paid car park is automatically read upon entry and entry time information is saved in the database; the license plate is re-read upon exit, and the time the vehicle has spent in the car park is automatically calculated and displayed on the operator screen.
A magnetic vehicle perception device takes photos of vehicles without a license plate or with a plate unrecognizable by the system so that the system runs smoothly.
The system can operate in integration with various receipt and ticket machines.
